System 200

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, United Kingdom

Occupying a prominent position on the Thames from the 16th Century onwards, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is renowned as being the world authority on all things horticultural and is committed to the conservation of plants and to the promotion of knowledge and understanding of plant life.

Panelock Gallery Display System 200, together with its specially designed lighting system, was purchased in June 2001 to enable both 2D and 3D exhibitions to be shown in the gracefully tented White Peaks retail and exhibition space. Since then, the moveable, relocatable System 200 units have been in constant use throughout the Garden’s various exhibition areas and in January of 2008, the original, heavily painted face boards were returned to Panelock’s factory for complete refurbishment. The boards are now back in situ on their System 200 frames and are giving continued good service, and will hopefully be for years to come.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew have also purchased Gallery Display System 100 for use in the Millennium Seed Bank at their “country garden” – Wakehurst Place in West Sussex.
