WELCOME TO PANELOCK
Panelock is a company recognised throughout the world as being at the forefront of display wall design and manufacture. Our range of museum quality movable art display walls, designed around the unique Panelock inbuilt retractable castor wheel mechanism, has been developed following many years of research and close consultation with exhibition designers and gallery staff. At the turn of a removable operating handle, each panel can be moved to create a completely different display layout, or, alternatively, a room can be completely cleared to allow for a multitude of different activities. Panelock’s movable display screens are durable, versatile and designed to be re-used for successive exhibitions over many years, thus eliminating constant expenditure on display wall construction and the inevitable needless waste of materials.
Our concept is to help maximise the full potential of your display areas, be it a designated gallery space or busy thoroughfare, and to allow artwork to be displayed in the most sympathetic and informative way. We have installations in museums, art galleries, listed buildings, schools, colleges, universities, libraries, theatres, concert halls, shopping centres, hospitals, hotels, visitor centres, stately homes and churches worldwide and we pride ourselves on our friendly and efficient customer service, attention to detail and ability to work to critical deadlines and to adapt our standard product range to accommodate specific requirements.
We invite you to take a few moments to explore our website and to view our videos and interactive diagrams, using the drop down menus above. We are confident that we can help you create a flexible multi-functional space capable of hosting a diverse range of exhibitions and activities.

Mick North : Arts Development Manager : Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery, Carlisle, UKThe great thing about Panelock is its flexibility. We can turn our gallery into a warren of separate spaces or open the whole thing up - quickly and easily
Dean Turnbull : Exhibitions Technician : Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland, UKThe Gallery is devoted to presenting innovative and challenging exhibitions of contemporary visual art of regional, national and international significance. The exhibitions change on a regular basis and as such require the high degree of flexibility offered by the Panelock system which can be adapted to show a wide variety of contemporary visual art forms
Dr. Nicholas Hiley : Head of the Centre for the Study of Cartoons and Caricature, Templeman Library, The University of Kent at Canterbury, UKWhen we designed an exhibition gallery for the Templeman Library, our priority was to create hanging space for up to a hundred pictures and yet still preserve the sight lines across the main library floor. Panelock's Gallery Display System 200 allowed us to construct an attractive gallery whose open layout does not conceal either book stacks or desks, and ensures free access to library users
David Morris : Curator, The Whitwork Art Gallery, University of Manchester, Manchester, UKSystem 200 has been amazingly successful and has completely transformed the exhibition galleries. The System has changed people's perceptions of the exhibition spaces and given us the ability to create rooms within rooms. This system has been a real investment and can be used again and again in different configurations.
Alison Plumridge : Curator, The Royal Pump Rooms, Royal Leamington Spa, UKThe Royal Pump Rooms were converted as part of a £7M project to create a unique museum and art gallery from what was formerly the ladies swimming pool. The use of Panelock's Display System 200 within the Art Gallery and Temporary Exhibition Gallery has provided the perfect solution for creating increased and moveable hanging facilities for all our collections.
Nick Reilly : Director Highlanes GalleryHighlanes chose Panelock to provide our display units because of their innovative design, simple operation and flexible capacity. The genius of System 200 is its flexibility; we were very impressed with its modular design. The task of taking down a current programme and designing a new one has been made much simpler knowing that the physical display can be increased, decreased, repositioned or altered in any different number of ways with relative ease and at a minimum of cost in terms of time to do so. We wish to thank Panelock for their professional service, customer support and above all excellent product.
